Family (Week 2, #4 & #5)
Sunday, August 11, 2013 @ 9:36 AM
Presenting to you my family, along with my cousin's as well.
What exactly does family means to you?
What have they done for you/to you?
What have they thought you in life?
Try to reflect/reminisce on all the times that you shared with your family? I'm sure either way, you will have a smile on your face, or your mood changes depending on how close you are with your family.
I've learnt a lot from my family. I do not have a proper family picture, only my side of the family but i hope this counts. Throughout my 18 years living, i've learnt that friends aren't the only thing that matters. Because when you're messed up, torn in between the pieces, desperate in situations, who will be there for you? No one but your family.
Imagine yourself as a convict.
Would your friends come running to you to help? Some might. But who'll be the first? Who'll be the first begging you to stay and not to leave?
Who will be the one that is going to go for an extra mile to help you?
When you've served your sentence, and you're completely free, but with records, who will be the ones that is going to accept you? Inside out?
None other than your family.
The moral of this post is, appreciate those who appreciate you. Appreciate the ones who've done so much for you. And love them endlessly.
"Ohana means family. And family means no one gets left behind."
